Champions League

The Champions Division (formally known as the Challenger Division of Temecula Valley Little League) provides every child regardless of special needs the opportunity to participate in America's favorite pastime. The Champions Division gives Temecula's mentally and physically challenged youth a place on the baseball field, where they can participate in an athletic environment at their level of comfort and ability. More than the skills of baseball learned through experience, the value of the Champions Division is to provide an environment that enhances the participants' self esteem and physical mobility and embodies the spirit of teamwork and community

Forming Teams
Champions teams are organized primarily by players’ grade in school and school of attendance in order to maintain a recognized social environment. During registration you will have the opportunity to pass along special requests which the Player Agent will take into consideration during team development.  Such requests may include placing players on a team with friends, with a requested coach, or up/down a division to reflect ability level.  We will do our best to accommodate all requests, however, being able to balance all teams is important to our success. Therefore, circumstances may prevent us from fulfilling all requests.  Players who are registered after the registration cutoff will be placed on teams as recommended by the Player Agent based on the current status of our roster.

Games
The Champions Division have games every Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. starting in March at Ronald Reagan Sports park and ending in May.  In addition, our managers have a weekly practices at Temeku Hills Park.  The practices are not mandatory to play in our league however they are highly encouraged.

Every game is accompanied by a group of "buddies".  These buddies span from our High School baseball programs, travel ball programs and local youth programs such as TYB.  Your role as a buddy involves being a friend, cheerleader, coach, and helper, but, above all, you must be a protector.  For more information, please read the following: 'Buddy Program - How to be successful'.
